About
The Unofficial SOMA Info Portal is maintained by fans and is in no way affiliated with, nor endorsed by, Frictional Games.
The original purpose of this website was to house all of the available pre-release information about the game. Now that the game has been released, the site will be updated less frequently and will most likely remain in a semi-archived state. Adding new reviews and retrospective/post-mortem materials will be the primary reasons for future updates, unless Frictional begins work on DLC or a sequel.
Before the game was released, many of the pages of the Info Portal had large, extensive references sections at the bottom, providing citations for the information contained thereon. After the game was released on the 22nd of September 2015, the references sections were whittled down and streamlined to only contain citations for quotes and other information which isn't directly supported by the game itself. For everything else, the game is now our one and only reference.
The first incarnation of the Info Portal was a simple thread on the Frictional Games Forum, but it soon became apparent that it would be unable to encompass all of the information we now have about SOMA, so in May 2014 we upgraded to something more versatile. The thread has since been re-purposed as an index and update feed for this site.
Please be aware that spoiler warnings are given only for the most obvious of cases, such as videos or images of enemy characters, puzzle solutions, and the revelation of important plot points. When a reference contains a potential spoiler, its brackets will be red, like this: [4]. A full explanation of the spoiler in question is given in the corresponding reference at the bottom of each page.

SOMA's release has rendered the following contact form somewhat redundant, but if you still need to contact us about something on the Info Portal website, feel free to do so!
